Gold Country

Here's a piece I started while watching Ken Burns' Dust Bowl documentary. What a crazy time! I think it would make a great setting for a story... I called this one gold country, though because there's so much gold in it... I could keep working on this forever, start adding some background and everything, but I thought I might as well show my progress.
Please give suggestions!

Wedding Invitations

My Wedding is in less than two weeks! Things have been crazy, so it's weird looking back at my invites, which were huge fun to make! I have to thank Dam Keeper for some of the brushes I used, haha.

Lucy the Dachshund

I got a short illustration job with a great guy, Brian Horton, on a personal project of his. I wish I could do work like this all the time for my career! I made these super fast in Photoshop, using pictures of his dog he provided.

Stopping to smell the...

We visited San Jose's Municipal Rose Garden for Mother's Day, and I couldn't resist taking some photos. It's amazing living right around the corner from this place!

“People where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for...

They don't find it," I answered.

And yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water..."

Of course," I answered.

And the little prince added, "But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart.”

Tamara news

The rest of the team and I are super excited! The short film I animated on last summer has a trailer now, and the magic of lighting and texturing really brought it to life! From directors Jason Marino, Craig Kitzman, animation director Aaron Soon, and a bunch of us SJSU kids, enjoy!

(both the shots of the little girl in the trailer are mine :D)

Rare Candy: Pokemon charity auction

Everyone go check out Rare Candy! A lot of my classmates plus some pros have really nice work up for auction. It's going to a good cause: 100% profit gained from the artwork will be donated to Canines for Disabled Kids.

Here's my piece:

You can put it on a wall or a window :) I wanted to try something out of the ordinary for me... Anyway, it's Bellsprout.

From Hillary Bradfield's upcoming film! When developing this, I was trying to keep it in the realm of Hillary's original design... Just moving Edith towards a rounder, softer look. The film's nearly done now... So close! (yet so far)
